A conversation overheard on a firday night at the benches outside Pick n Bite.
Monkey: Hey penguin
Penguin: Hey monkey, how are you doing? Why are you sitting here?
Monkey: Yeah doing project loh. Where are you going? Going home?
Penguin: Going out with dinosaurs. Its been awhile.
Monkey: Oh ok. Interesting.
Penguin: Hey what are you doing here ah with your laptop at 9 on a friday night. Go out lah today friday night leh.
Monkey: (thinks in his heart: Since when did I have a friday night fun at SMU) Gotta do project lah. Anyway you have fun....
Penguin: Yeah sure will.....
Finally completed my Nego essay. Took me like the whole week to do. Now its settled on to projects..... GoodnightZzz....

Hmmm.... so long never had a proper blog liao. Notice my blogs getting shorter n shorter. But got the sudden urge to blog while I was studying for International Econs(IE) jus now. Haiz... probably an excuse for me to stop studying.... But anyway..... I'll still blog bah..... Well, this week is mid term break for me. At least I tried to balance work and play this week. Its friday now, and I can say I had a good break, although went back to sch almost everyday. So here's a summary of the week.
Monday
Finally managed to do my resume. Thanks to shyh jie and daniel for sending me their format for resume. Then in the afternoon, wen to play bball. Its been like so long since I played bball. Well this bball outing is interesting, went to Xtreme Youth Zone(XYZ), a hangout place for youths. It was supposed to be my Social Entrepreneurship project where we need to see if there's anything we can help with XYZ. Good thing that my group felt that we should mingle around with the youths and get to know them more build up our relationship with them, thus playing bball with them. We even gamely sign up for a bball competition. Well, during the visit to XYZ, got to know a few of their teens there although a little dissappointed that there's like lss than 5 of them there while we were there. Well really thank God that we are still able to connect with them, its like these people are straight from the streets, some even in gangs but they are still willing to talk to us. One interesting character is Rash, he's not from XYZ but a guy that we got to know while playing bball. He's only 14 and he told me that he use to smokes a packet of cigarrettes a day and now is on 1 stick a day. Which got me thinking, wonder how many youths are out there like him? Hmmm.... I'll try to help him bah. Being a positive influence in his life. Well, I might not be able to change the world but I can change one soul at a time.
After the bball session, its back to school for prayer meeting. Hmmm.... I dun wanna be too religious in my blog but I thought the message that Xin Hong shared is really impactful to me. Well he shared about asking him to be faithful instead of competitive in SMU. Which explains my previous blog entry. But why faithfulness can bring you success in SMU? Here's the integoration list that Xin Hon provided:

Tuesday
Slacked at home for awhile and did abit of readings to prepare for project meeting the next day. Then come the bbq. Thanks to all the 18 person that came for the bbq. Especially to those that came down just for me. I know who you are. Really thanks. Especially to kang li, thanks. I think and I hope everyone enjoyed it. It definitely is a great bbq for me. Too bad didn't take any pictures. And sorry that there's no sufficient match-making opportunity. Hahaz. Now that SDU is no more I should organise more of such activities for the greater good of the Singapore population. The government should treat me well. Hahaz....
Wednesday
Project meeting day! Project meeting in the morning and had chance to fellowship with my IE groupmates. Gotta treasure every chance to fellowship wif frens. Don't get many chance to fellowship with people in smu very often. If only there's more balance in SMU. haiz..... Then met up for dinner with Hao Han with my chinese buddies. Again thank God there wasn't any communication breakdown and my chinese is still barely there. Really hope that they will be able to clear their SAT and stay in SMU. Jia you bah hao peng you!
Thursday
Went to school for Equity project meeting. Honestly was abit lost during the meeting initially. But thank God after awhile, managed to figure out what my groupmates were talking about and was able to contribute. I'm the weakest link in the prj group, all of them have experience investing with stocks and I'm the only one without. So really thank God that I somehow still have their favour and they can still accept me. Also found out that our project requiement is not that stringent afterall. Thank God for the assurance. Then after project meeting went Shoppinggggg!!!! With daniel and joshua. Landed up in PS somehow. Bought 2 shirt from john little for my FT that cost a total of $49. Quite a good deal ah.
Friday
Today! Played gold in the morning with joshua, daniel and yong jin. Well, proud to say that my driving skills have improved. It was another session of fun and laughter with joshua and daniel's athics. Hahaz. Afterward headed home to put my golf clubs. Josh n dan followed me back and were treated to my mum's curry. It was so nice that we finished all of it. I was thinking my mum would be very happy if I told her that my frens say that her curry is nice and even finish all of it. Then when my dad came back he was like saying: "Who finished the curry? I came back to eat the curry" Hahaz. Little did my dad expect that I brought back 2 hungry ghost before he came back. Joshua also taught me to play "Home by daughtry" on guitar at my home. Seems quite easy. was able to learn more than half the song already. But like joshua said need to play it with emotion. Hahaz. So gotta practise loh. Then can play for his "band" for stary stary night mah. Its so cool being able to be part of a band. Thats what I've always been dreaming of. Hope that this dream will become a reality. At least once. One time only. Yup. Then went to school to study with yining and pinxiu. Well first time seeing them in school. So strange. Hmmm..... not sure why, everything is so strange. Words cant describe but there is an aura of emptiness. Of quietness. But its quite fun and refreshing time. Yup. Wanted to watch leap years on the leap year day. But sold out liao. Ended up playing games at mr tea. Its fun. Perhaps we should do this more often. Hahaz. Then after the girls left, met up with ouyang. Woah he look so cool lah. hahaz. Just thanked each other over msn for accompanying each other. hmm.... weird..... not really jus shy.... also not really. But respect and courtesy bah I guess. 1.37 am. 1 hour past my target bed time. Still bu she de sleep. But have to sleep soon. Goodnight.......
